Prompt engineering is crafting the wording of a single request to get a better answer out of an AI. How you phrase the ask changes what you get back.

It still matters. But Remy's actual point is that in the AI agent era it now matters less than Context engineering. The old game was writing one clever, perfectly-worded mega-prompt. The new game is feeding your agent the right background up front (who you are, your customer, your brand, your files) so your prompts can stay simple.

Once the agent already knows your world, you don't need the magic words. You just say "write me an about-me paragraph" and it has everything it needs. So it's less about prompt engineering now and more about context engineering.
